The Macon-Bibb County Land Bank Authority is pleased to announce the release of its very first website at www.maconlandbank.org. This new website was designed to better inform the community about the activities of the Land Bank Authority and to facilitate the purchase of properties held by the Authority, thereby returning them to local tax rolls. “One of our primary purposes for the new website was to publicize a listing of the properties held by the authority,” said Alison Souther Goldey, Executive Director of the Land Bank Authority, “and we also wanted to use the new site to establish our own distinct identity.”
Though active as an independent authority since 1996, the Macon-Bibb County Land Bank Authority has never had its own website and has always shared resources (like email) with its governmental parners, like Macon-Bibb County or the Macon-Bibb County Housing Authority. With the release of its new website, the Land Bank Authority has also established a unique branding for itself, which will also be reflected on agency business cards, letterhead and email addresses.
The Land Bank Authority’s new website and branding was developed in partnership with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission (MGRC), a regional planning organization that supports community and economic development through service to its member local governments and partner agencies. “The Macon-Bibb County Land Bank Authority has long been the benchmark for Land Bank Authorities in the State of Georgia,” said Nick Kouloungis, Director of Technology Services at the MGRC. “our approach for designing the website and branding was to ensure that the Authority continues to distinguish itself with the same excellence and professionalism with which it carries out its mission.”
